Perfume exchange party rules you need to plan your next successful Galentine’s party with your girls! Thats right, with Valentine’s Day around the corner you can’t forget about your girls so why not gift each other perfumes for Galentine’s but make it fun. In this post I will break down how to ensure your perfume gift exchange flows seamlessly.
Perfume Exchange Party Rules #1: Gather Your Girls
Ok so first things first we need to figure out who is going to be involved in the perfume exchange. At a Galentine’s Party you play games and activities that will keep you and your girls entertained. However, the perfume exchange will be the highlight of the night. So, you need to know who all is going to want to participate in the gift exchange. As we all know perfumes can be pricey, which leads us into the next rule set a budget.
Perfume Exchange Party Rules #2: Set a Budget
Ok time to discuss a budget to determine how much you’re willing to spend on your gift. Come up with a Minimum amount that everyone must spend and a Maximum amount to not exceed. As I mentioned before, perfumes can be very pricey, be mindful of how much everyone is comfortable spending. Good perfumes typically range anywhere from $30-$500 and up, so find a way to meet in the middle. I will give you an example below.
For a great gift, a 1oz bottle should be the goal for everyone to receive at the very least. A great price range for that would be $50 as your minimum and $100 as your Max. Granted with this price range, you can very easily get a bottle bigger than 1oz. I’m merely suggesting that a 1oz bottle should be the minimum size that everyone gets. There you will find perfumes that are not only all under $100, but the bottles are also 1oz and up. This is just an example but again do whatever you and your group is comfortable with, if you want to raise the limits that’s totally fine. That just means the gift will be even better.
Rule #3: Draw Names
When it comes to drawing names, you can do it the old-fashioned way by pulling names out of a hat. Or you can do it electronically using a draw name simulator called DrawNames. This popular simulator is used quite often around Christmas time and for Galentine’s. You can create the group’s name (add details like date and budget etc.), enter the names to draw. Send the invitations to the participants and then draw the names. It’s really quite simple and easy, make sure you click the link for more details on exactly how to use it.
Rule #4: Make Your Wish List
One of my favorite parts about this simulator is that you also get to create a wish list by uploading images of the perfumes you want. This is extremely helpful because now the person who drew your name will have a visual to reference back to when shopping for you. Don’t put anything on your list that you’re not in love with. Remember, this wish list is yours and it ensures that you will get a gift that is exactly what YOU want. No one has to guess what kind of perfume to get you and risk getting something you would never buy. No, they will already know because it’s on your list. Rule #5 Come up with a Fun Way to Present Your Gift
It’s party time and it’s time for the big reveal. There’s plenty of different ways you can reveal who’s your secret Galentine. The party I attended, we decided to each get up individually and describe the person we bought the gift for and have everyone try to guess who it is. We made it fun and silly and laughed so hard, because after all that’s what Galentine’s is all about, having fun and being silly with your girls.
